STORIES AT THE HEART OF LEARNING ENGLISH
StoriesWithVocab

Terms and conditions

Effective date: 22 October 2026.

1. Seller

StoriesWithVocab is operated by Przemysław Pawlak. Contact: office@storieswithvocab.com. These terms concern purchases made directly through storieswithvocab.com.

2. Digital products

The product page describes the materials, formats, permitted use, price and any included online access. The Vocabulary Assessment System A1–C1 includes downloadable learning and assessment materials and an online vocabulary-test library. It is a digital purchase; no physical parcel is sent. Assessments support learning and teaching and are not an accredited language certificate.

3. Ordering and payment

Check your selected product, email address and billing details before placing an order. You can correct these details before submitting the checkout form. Placing the order creates an obligation to pay the displayed total. Payment methods available for your location and device are shown at checkout. Payment is processed through WooPayments and its payment partners. This product is a one-time purchase, not a recurring subscription.

The final payable amount and currency are displayed before you submit the order. There are no delivery charges for digital files. Any applicable tax is included or clearly identified in that total. An order confirmation is sent to the email address supplied at checkout. These terms and the product information applicable at purchase form part of your contract.

4. Delivery and your account

After successful payment is confirmed, download links are provided through the order email and My account → Downloads. Online tests are accessed through My account → Vocabulary tests. The assessment product requires an account; use the email linked to your order. If access is not provided after confirmed payment, contact us with your order number so we can investigate.

Keep your login details secure. Downloaded files can be kept for continued use under the licence. Online access has no scheduled expiry date and is subject to section 4a below. Required remedies and updates under applicable consumer law remain unaffected.

4a. Online access and permanent platform closure

Online access is provided for an indefinite period, subject to the termination procedure below. It has no scheduled expiry date and is not a promise of lifetime hosting. You may end your online access at any time by contacting us; any refund entitlement is determined by your statutory rights and the applicable refund policy.

We may permanently discontinue the platform and terminate online access only for an important, objectively justified reason: a legal or regulatory requirement preventing continued operation; permanent loss of essential technology for which no reasonable replacement is available; documented, sustained financial unsustainability after reasonable alternatives have been considered; or lasting incapacity of the sole operator that prevents continued operation. The reason must genuinely justify permanent closure; this clause does not permit arbitrary removal of purchased access.

For a planned closure, we will give affected customers at least 90 days’ advance notice by email to the address associated with their purchase or account. The notice will explain the reason, closure date, how to download the purchased files and export any locally stored test progress, and how to contact us about access or remedies. Purchased downloads and online access will remain available during the notice period. We will stop selling the affected online access when closure is announced.

If a binding legal requirement prevents us from keeping the platform available for the full notice period, we will explain this and notify affected customers as soon as reasonably possible. Where lawful, we will provide another way to obtain their purchased downloadable files.

Closing the platform does not end the licence to use files already downloaded. Hosted tests, account access and platform support end on the closure date. Downloadable files and exported progress do not necessarily reproduce all hosted features or mobile functionality.

This clause does not exclude or limit mandatory consumer rights, including rights concerning conformity, required updates, complaints, price reductions, refunds or other remedies. Advance notice and an opportunity to download files do not, by themselves, remove any remedy owed for the loss of purchased online functionality.

5. Technical requirements

For online tests, use an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled and an internet connection. The online version is the intended option for iPhone and Android. Interactive PDF scoring is intended for Adobe Acrobat Reader on a desktop computer; phone preview applications and browser PDF viewers may not run its buttons. Printable PDFs require a PDF reader. ZIP packages need to be extracted before their contents can be used.

Online-test answers and scores are stored in the browser used on that device. They do not automatically sync across devices and may be removed when browser data is cleared. Use the available progress export/import functions when you need to transfer or back up progress.

6. Licence

The product-specific licence supplied with the materials defines permitted use. For the Vocabulary Assessment System, the licence is for one learner or one teacher working with their own students, including paid lessons. A teacher may share individual tests with their own students as allowed by that licence. The complete package, answer keys and account access may not be redistributed or resold. Institution-wide or multi-teacher use requires a separate licence. Ownership of copyright is not transferred by purchase. Statutory exceptions and mandatory rights remain unaffected.

7. Withdrawal, complaints and refunds

See Refunds and digital access for withdrawal instructions, an optional withdrawal message and the complaint process. Any digital-content withdrawal exception applies only where all applicable legal requirements are met. Agreeing to these terms alone is not express consent to waive a withdrawal right. Statutory remedies for non-conforming content or services remain available.

8. Personal data

The Privacy Policy explains how order, account, support and technical information is used. The vocabulary-test account is not a multi-user classroom tracking system.

9. Applicable rights and disputes

Polish law applies, without removing mandatory protections available to consumers under the law that would otherwise apply in their country of habitual residence. These terms do not require consumers to use a particular court where the law gives them other options. Please contact us first about a dispute. Information about Polish out-of-court consumer dispute resolution is available at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl. Participation is subject to the applicable rules and any required agreement.

10. Changes

Changes to these terms apply to future purchases. They do not remove rights already acquired under an existing purchase. Any legally required changes to an ongoing digital service will follow the applicable notice and consumer-protection rules.
